Private label questions, answered
Everything a brand, importer or hotel usually asks before a first project with Made by Anadoris: minimum orders, samples, ready versus custom formulas, development time, packaging, our facility in Ambala, Haryana, India, documents and export.
Getting started
What does Made by Anadoris do?
Made by Anadoris is a private label manufacturer of beauty and personal care products based in Ambala, Haryana, India. Brands, importers, retailers and hotels choose from 1,269 ready formulas, 700 raw materials and 3,001 packaging options, add their own brand and launch. We also develop custom formulas to a brief.
Who do you work with?
New and growing beauty brands, importers and distributors building a private label line, retailers adding an own-brand range, hotels and hospitality groups sourcing amenities, pet brands and groomers, and formulators buying oils and raw materials.
How do I start a project?
Shortlist products on the site and add them to your sample list, or send a brief through the inquiry form. An advisor replies by email with options, sample arrangements and next steps. The process runs in 6 steps: shortlist, inquire, sample and refine, artwork and documents, production, ship.
Do I need a finished brand before I contact you?
No. Many clients come with a product idea and a target market. Our brand launch planner and product concept builder help you turn that into a brief, and an advisor refines it with you before sampling.
Minimum orders and samples
What is the minimum order quantity?
ready formulas have minimum quantities confirmed on enquiry. Custom formulas and decorated or custom packaging are quoted per brief, because their minimum depends on raw material batch sizes and packaging supplier minimums.
Why is the minimum per product rather than per order?
Each formula is made as its own batch and filled on its own run, so the minimum applies to each product in a range. A range of four products at the ready-formula minimum therefore needs four times the minimum in total.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Yes. Add products to your sample list and send an inquiry. An advisor confirms which samples are available, how they are sent and what happens next. Samples of ready formulas are the quickest way to decide between textures.
Can I change a ready formula?
Fragrance, colour and small texture changes are usually possible on a ready base. Changes to the active system or a new texture move the project to custom formulation, which is quoted per brief and takes longer because stability work starts again.
Formulation and development
Should I choose a ready formula or a custom one?
Choose a ready formula when the catalogue already holds the texture and ingredient story you want; it is faster and carries existing stability work. Choose custom formulation when your product needs a texture, ingredient system or claim the catalogue does not hold.
How long does custom development take?
Typically 6 to 12 months from brief to first production run for a formula developed to your brief. Ready formulas move faster because formulation and stability work already exist.
What claims can I make on my products?
Cosmetic claims about how skin, hair or the product looks and feels. Claims that suggest a medical effect can reclassify a product as a drug in many markets, and measurable claims need test evidence. List intended claims in your brief and confirm final wording with your regulatory adviser.
Can you match a product I already sell?
We can work from a reference product towards a similar texture, feel or scent profile, adjusted to your brief. We do not copy another brand’s formula or packaging.
Packaging
Can you supply packaging as well as the formula?
Yes. The catalogue holds 3,001 packaging options: airless bottles, pumps, droppers, jars, tubes, sticks, compacts and lip packaging. Each can be supplied empty, or filled and decorated with your branding.
Do you check that the formula suits the pack?
Yes. Compatibility between the approved formula and the chosen component is checked before filling, because a pump that works for a lotion can fail for a thick cream and some actives react with certain materials.
Can I use my own packaging?
Yes, subject to a compatibility check and the component arriving on time for the production slot. Share specifications and samples of your component at inquiry stage.
Facility and quality
Where are products made?
In our own manufacturing facility in Ambala, Haryana, India, a 40,000 sq ft site. Formulation, filling, labelling and packing happen on site.
What batch sizes can you make?
Batch vessels run from 100 kg to 600 kg, which covers a first run at the ready-formula minimum and repeat orders as a brand grows. Fill sizes run from 3 ml to 25 litres, across tubes, jars, bottles, sachets and refills.
Which certifications does the facility hold?
GMP (cosmetics), ISO 9001, ISO 22716, ISO 14001. Certifications describe the facility; they are not a product approval and do not on their own guarantee compliance in a destination market.
What quality checks happen before shipment?
Each batch is checked against the approved specification for appearance, odour and key physical properties, with batch documents such as a certificate of analysis issued on request. Market-specific testing is coordinated when your importer or retailer asks for it.
Documents and export
Which markets do you ship to?
GCC, UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, China and Hong Kong, South-East Asia and Africa. Documents are planned for your destination market from inquiry stage.
Which documents come with my products?
Typically an ingredient list, product specification, certificate of analysis per batch, safety data sheet and shipping documents. Retailers and importers may ask for stability, compatibility or microbiological data as well. Confirm the list for your market with your importer or regulatory adviser.
Do you register products in my country?
No. Registrations or notifications are usually made by your importer, distributor or responsible person in your market. We supply the product information they need for that step.
Do you handle shipping?
Yes. Goods are packed, documented and shipped from India to your market. Import clearance in your country is handled by you or your importer.
