Contract cosmetics manufacturer in India: OEM, ODM and private label

We are a contract cosmetics manufacturer in Ambala, India, making skincare, makeup, body, hair, baby and pet products for other brands. We work three ways: white label from ready formulas, ODM where our R&D team develops a formula to your brief, and OEM where we make your own formula. Ready formulas start from 500 units per product; custom work is quoted per brief.

Third-party manufacturing lets a brand sell products without building its own factory. The brand owns the name, the customer and the marketing. The manufacturer makes the product. We do this in our own facility in Ambala, Haryana, and the right model depends on who owns the formula and how much development you need. You can read more about the facility on our manufacturer page.

What is the difference between private label, white label, OEM and ODM?

ModelWho develops the formulaWhat you getSuits
White labelThe manufacturer, already developedA ready formula in a stock pack with your brandingFast launches and first ranges
Private labelEither; it is the umbrella termAny product made for you and sold under your brandMost brands and retailers
ODMThe manufacturer, to your briefA new formula designed for your brand, then made at scaleBrands with a clear product idea
OEM or contract manufacturingYou, or your formulatorYour own formula made to your specificationBrands that already own a formula

We do all three: white label from ready formulas, custom formulation (ODM), and OEM production of your own formula. Many brands combine them, launching with ready formulas and adding custom products later. Our guide to ready formula vs custom formulation explains how to choose.

What is included?

  • Formula: ready, developed to your brief, or supplied by you.
  • Packaging: selection, decoration and compatibility checks, through our custom packaging service.
  • Production: filling, labelling and packing in our own facility.
  • Documents planned for your market, and shipping from India.

Who do we make for?

Founders launching a beauty or personal care brand, retailers and importers building private label ranges, established brands moving production or adding capacity, hotel groups, and pet brands. The facility is ISO certified and GMP-compliant, with HACCP, Halal and Kosher certification and an AYUSH licence.

How does it work?

  1. Brief. Tell us the products, the model you prefer, your market and quantities. The product concept builder helps you write it.
  2. Formula. Sample ready formulas, develop a new one, or send your own specification for review.
  3. Samples and approval. Test, refine and approve.
  4. Packaging and artwork. Choose packs and approve artwork.
  5. Production and shipping. We make, pack, document and ship.

Each stage is set out on how it works.

What do you need to provide for OEM work?

  • Your formula and specification, under a confidentiality agreement if you need one.
  • Your process notes, quality standards and any approved suppliers.
  • Target markets, packs and quantities.

What affects timeline and cost?

The main drivers are the model you choose, the formula, ingredient availability, the packs and decoration, the testing your market needs, and quantity. White label is the quickest route; ODM adds development rounds; OEM depends on how ready your formula is for our process. Ready formulas start from 500 units per product, and custom and OEM work is quoted per brief. Start with the inquiry form.

Contract manufacturing: questions

What is a third-party cosmetics manufacturer?

A third-party or contract manufacturer makes products that another company sells under its own brand. The brand handles marketing and sales; the manufacturer handles formulation, filling, packing and documents. We work this way for brands, retailers, importers and hotel groups from our own facility in Ambala, India.

What is the difference between OEM and ODM in cosmetics?

In OEM, the brand supplies its own formula and the manufacturer makes it to that specification. In ODM, the manufacturer designs the formula to the brand's brief, then makes it. We offer both, as well as white label production from our ready formulas.

Can you manufacture a formula I already own?

Yes. Send your formula and specification for review, under a confidentiality agreement if you need one. We check it against our process and ingredient sourcing, make trial batches for your approval, and confirm minimums and timelines when we quote, before production is scheduled.

What is the minimum order for contract manufacturing?

Ready formulas start from 500 units per product. Custom formulas and OEM production of your own formula are quoted per brief, because the minimum depends on the formula, the ingredients and the pack. We confirm it before any development or trial batches begin.
