Packaging and product development: formula and pack, together
Formula and pack should be chosen together, because viscosity, dosing, material compatibility and cost all interact. We help you pick a pack format, check it against the formula before filling, and decorate it for your brand, so the finished product dispenses and keeps well.
Many launch delays come from choosing packaging and formula separately. A rich cream may not suit a pump; an active serum may need protection from air; a decorated component may not survive the filling line. Developing them together avoids these surprises.
What we help you decide
| Question | Where to read more |
|---|---|
| Which pack format suits the product? | Choosing cosmetic packaging |
| Airless, pump or dropper? | Airless vs dropper for serums |
| Which material? | Packaging materials guide |
| How is the pack decorated? | Decoration options |
| Will formula and pack work together? | Compatibility testing |
How the work runs
- Brief both together. Tell us the product, dosing method, shelf positioning and target feel.
- Shortlist packs. Browse our packaging range and shortlist formats that suit the formula.
- Compatibility check. We check the formula with the pack before filling and flag risks such as leakage, dosing or material reaction.
- Decorate and fill. Printing, labels or colour matching, then filling and packing in our facility.
A compatibility check reduces risk but does not replace stability and transit testing for your market; we coordinate the testing your importer or retailer asks for. See custom packaging and testing and documents.
Packaging and product development: questions
Can you recommend a pack for my formula?
Yes. Share the formula type, viscosity feel and dosing method and we shortlist formats, then check compatibility before filling.
Do you supply the packaging?
We source from our packaging range with you, or fill into components you supply.
Can packaging be decorated with my brand?
Yes: labels, printing and colour matching are available, with options and set-up depending on the component.
Is a compatibility check the same as stability testing?
No. A check lowers risk; stability and transit tests are separate and depend on your market and channel.
What is the minimum order for custom packs?
It depends on the component and decoration. State your quantity in the brief and we confirm what is practical.
