Private label formulas for ageing skin

Ageing skin covers what customers notice over time: skin that feels drier, looks less firm, and shows lines and loss of radiance. Our ready formulas for it are mostly rich creams, serums and eye creams, with essences and complexion products alongside. They are positioned to help skin look smoother, firmer and more supple. Brands can request samples and brand any formula from 500 units.

Developing a product for ageing skin

Mature-skin ranges are where customers expect the most from a formula and look hardest at the claims. Texture carries a lot of weight: richer creams for night, lighter serums for day, and a dedicated eye product are the usual backbone.

Formats that suit it

  • Night and day creams with a cushioned, nourishing feel. Browse private label moisturisers.
  • Serums and ampoules built around retinol, bakuchiol, peptides or hyaluronic acid. See serums.
  • Eye creams with lighter textures suited to the eye area.
  • Essences and toners as a hydrating first layer.

Texture and pairing choices

A common structure is a hydrating serum for morning, a retinol or bakuchiol product for night, and a moisturiser that suits both. Bakuchiol is a plant-derived ingredient often positioned as an alternative to retinol. Retinol products are usually labelled for evening use, with advice to use sunscreen during the day.

Packaging

Retinol is light-sensitive, so opaque or airless packs are common for it. Airless pumps also suit rich creams because they reduce air contact and keep fingers out of the product. Heavy glass jars feel premium but expose the formula each time they open.

Claims that need evidence

Keep to how skin looks and feels: smoother, firmer-looking, more supple. Claims about wrinkle depth, collagen, or results in a set number of weeks need instrumental or consumer testing, and some markets restrict age-related wording. Read how product development works or brief us on custom formulation.

Questions about ageing skin products

Can you supply retinol formulas?

Yes. Our ready catalogue includes retinol creams, eye creams and ampoules. Retinol is light-sensitive, so these are normally filled into opaque or airless packs, and labels usually advise evening use with daily sunscreen. Some markets limit retinol levels in cosmetics, so confirm local rules with your regulatory adviser.

What claims can a mature-skin product make?

Cosmetic claims about appearance and feel, such as skin looking smoother or feeling more supple, are the safest ground. Claims about wrinkles reducing by a measured amount, collagen, or results within a stated time need testing first. Wording rules differ by market, so check each one before launch.

Is an eye cream necessary in an ageing-skin range?

It is not required, but many customers expect one and it lets a brand offer a lighter texture for the eye area. Several of our ready eye creams use retinol, peptides or hyaluronic acid. You can sample them alongside a face cream to judge how the two sit together.
