Private label lavender formulas
Lavender is used in cosmetics mainly for its fragrance, usually as an essential oil distilled from the flowers of the lavender plant. Its clean, floral scent is one of the most recognised in bath and body care. We carry it in 16 ready formulas, mostly massage and body oils, plus body wash, bubble bath, a sleeping mask, baby powder and a pet grooming spray. Brands can sample and brand them from 500 units per product.

Developing a lavender product
Lavender is a scent-led ingredient, so most of the decisions are about fragrance strength, format and how the product fits an evening or bath-time routine.
Formats that suit it
- Massage and body oils make up most of our lavender range. Browse our private label body and massage oils.
- Body wash and bubble bath carry lavender into an everyday bath routine. See body wash.
- Masks, powders and room or linen sprays extend the scent story; a pet grooming spray suits pet ranges.
Texture and pairing choices
Lavender blends well with chamomile, bergamot, lemongrass, rosemary and vanilla. In oils it sits in a carrier such as almond, jojoba or sunflower. Decide whether you want a true lavender essential oil or a lavender-type fragrance, as cost, scent profile and labelling all differ. Our essential oils range is a useful reference.
Packaging
Essential oils are sensitive to light and air, so amber or opaque bottles and tight-sealing closures are a sensible choice for oils. Body wash and bath products suit pump bottles or tubes.
Claims and labelling to check before launch
Lavender oil naturally contains fragrance allergens such as linalool, which may need declaring on the label in some markets above set levels. Your regulatory adviser can confirm this from the formula. Keep claims to scent and feel: "relaxing scent" is safer than claims about sleep, stress or anxiety, which read as health claims. For pet products, avoid health claims and check pet-specific rules.
Questions about lavender products
Which lavender products can I private label?
Our catalogue lists 16 ready formulas with lavender. Most are massage and body oils; the rest include a body wash, bubble bath, a sleeping mask, baby powder, a hotel amenity and a pet grooming spray. Each can be sampled, then produced under your own brand from 500 units per product.
Do lavender products need allergen labelling?
Often, yes. Lavender oil naturally contains fragrance allergens such as linalool and limonene, and some markets require these to be named on the label above set levels. Your regulatory adviser can calculate this from the finished formula for each country you sell in.
Can I say a lavender product helps you sleep?
Claims about sleep, stress or anxiety are generally regarded as health claims and are not suitable for cosmetics. Describe the scent and the experience instead, for example "a calming lavender scent for your evening routine". Confirm wording with your regulatory adviser.
