Private label panthenol formulas
Panthenol, also called provitamin B5, is a humectant and conditioning ingredient that helps skin feel soft, moisturised and comfortable. It also appears widely in hair care for its conditioning feel. We carry panthenol in 25 ready formulas, mostly serums and creams, plus cleansers, a toner, a balm and a foundation. Brands can sample a formula and launch it under their own label from 500 units per product.

Developing a panthenol product
Panthenol is a dependable supporting ingredient that can also be the hero of a comfort-care range, often marketed as "B5".
Formats that suit it
- Serums and essences where a "B5" name gives a clear, simple story. Browse our private label serums.
- Creams and balms for richer comfort care. See moisturisers.
- Toners and cleansers that need to feel gentle and non-stripping. See toners and mists.
Texture and pairing choices
Panthenol is water-soluble and blends easily with hyaluronic acid, glycerin, ceramides, centella and beta-glucan. It pairs with zinc PCA in products aimed at shine-prone skin, and with allantoin in calming-feel lines. In hair care it is used in conditioners and leave-in products for a smoother, softer feel. That crossover lets a brand carry one "B5" story from face care into hair and body products.
Packaging
Panthenol has no unusual packaging needs, so pumps, droppers, tubes and jars all work. Match the pack to the texture and the positioning: tubes for practical everyday creams, droppers for serums.
Claims to check before launch
"Soothing", "comforting" and "helps skin feel moisturised" are typical cosmetic claims. Repair, healing or post-procedure claims cross into medicinal territory and should be avoided. If you call a product "B5", the formula should give panthenol a meaningful role, not a token one. For a custom blend, start with custom formulation.
Questions about panthenol products
Which panthenol products can I private label?
Our catalogue lists 25 ready formulas containing panthenol. Most are serums and creams, with cleansers, a toner, a balm and a foundation. Every formula can be sampled first, then produced under your own brand from 500 units per product.
Is panthenol the same as vitamin B5?
Panthenol is the provitamin form of vitamin B5, which is why it is often marketed as "B5" or "provitamin B5". In cosmetics it works as a humectant and conditioning agent. On the ingredient list it appears as panthenol or D-panthenol.
Can I use panthenol in a hair care product?
Yes. Panthenol is a common conditioning ingredient in shampoos, conditioners and leave-in products, where it helps hair feel smoother and softer. Keep claims cosmetic, such as softer-feeling or easier-to-comb hair, and avoid claims about hair growth or hair fall.
