Private label rice formulas

Rice appears in skincare in several forms: rice bran oil, rice water, rice ferment filtrate and fine rice powder, each used for a soft feel or a smooth, fresh-looking finish. It has long roots in East Asian beauty routines. We carry rice-based ingredients in 20 ready formulas, half of them eye care, plus cleansers, serums, gels and masks. Brands can sample them and launch under their own label from 500 units per product.

Developing a rice product

Rice gives a brand a warm, familiar ingredient story with heritage appeal. The first step is deciding which form of rice you want to feature, because each behaves differently.

Formats that suit it

  • Eye creams and gels make up much of our rice range. Browse our private label eye care.
  • Cleansers, foams and wash-off packs where rice powder or rice water gives a soft, gentle feel. See cleansers.
  • Serums, toners and masks built around rice ferment or rice water for a layered routine.

Texture and pairing choices

Rice bran oil adds a light emollient feel to creams. Rice ferment filtrate and rice water suit watery toners and essences. Fine rice powder can give a gentle polishing texture or a soft-focus feel. Rice pairs naturally with niacinamide, ceramides, hyaluronic acid and other grain or botanical extracts such as oat and green tea.

Packaging

Rice ranges often lean on soft, minimal design. Tubes and small pumps suit eye care; foam pumps and tubes suit cleansers; frosted bottles fit toners. Formulas with plant oils benefit from packs that limit air exposure.

Claims to check before launch

"Softening", "smoothing" and "for a fresh-looking finish" are typical cosmetic wording. Brightening or dark-circle claims need evidence on the finished product, and whitening language is restricted or unwelcome in many markets. Any heritage or fermentation story should match the actual ingredient. Our product development guide explains the route from sample to launch.

Questions about rice products

Which rice products can I private label?

We list 20 ready formulas with rice-derived ingredients. Half are eye creams and gels, followed by cleansers, serums, gels and masks, plus an eye makeup product and a body lotion. Each can be sampled, then produced under your own brand from 500 units per product.

What forms of rice are used in skincare?

The common forms are rice bran oil, an emollient; rice water and rice ferment filtrate, used in toners and essences; and rice powder or starch, used for texture and a soft finish. The form used will be shown by its INCI name on the ingredient list.

Can I call a rice product brightening?

Brightening is a cosmetic claim, but it still needs support, such as consumer perception or instrumental testing on the finished product. Avoid whitening or pigmentation-removal language, which is restricted or poorly received in many markets. Check the exact wording with your regulatory adviser.
