Private label almond oil formulas
Sweet almond oil is a light, pale plant oil pressed from almond kernels and widely used in cosmetics as an emollient carrier oil that leaves skin and hair feeling soft. Our catalogue carries it mainly in massage and body oils, plus a hair oil, a body butter and a face mist. Brands can request samples of any ready formula and launch it under their own label from 500 units per product.

Developing an almond product
Sweet almond oil spreads easily and has little scent of its own, which is why it is a classic base for massage and body oils. It blends well with richer oils such as coconut or sesame, and with essential oils for relaxing or romantic scent stories. In hair care, almond is a familiar choice for hair oils, and in body butters it softens a shea or cocoa base.
Allergen labelling
Almond is a tree nut. The oil is listed by its INCI name, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, and many brands also state "contains almond oil" clearly on pack so shoppers with nut allergies can identify it. Check with your regulatory adviser whether additional wording is expected in each market.
Baby and pregnancy products
Almond oil appears in baby and pregnancy massage oils. These products carry extra responsibility: keep claims cosmetic, make sure the safety assessment covers the intended user, and avoid any wording that implies a medical benefit.
Packaging and claims
Like most plant oils, almond oil can oxidise over time, so well-sealed bottles and a suitable antioxidant are standard. "Nourishing" and "softer-feeling skin" are common cosmetic descriptions; anything more specific needs test data.
Almond oil also works well as a carrier for scent. One base can support several fragrance variants, which keeps a massage oil range simple to develop and reorder.

Questions about almond products
Is sweet almond oil the same as bitter almond oil?
No. Cosmetic carrier oils use sweet almond, Prunus amygdalus dulcis. Bitter almond is a different variety and its essential oil is handled very differently in cosmetics. Check the INCI name on any formula you choose; sweet almond oil appears as Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil on the ingredient list.
Do I need a nut allergen note on an almond product?
Almond oil comes from a tree nut, so many brands flag it clearly on pack as well as in the ingredient list. Formal requirements vary by market and product type, so confirm the wording with your importer or regulatory adviser, particularly for baby products and products sold through pharmacies.
What is the minimum order for a private label almond oil product?
Ready formulas in our catalogue start from 500 units per product, including massage oils, body oils and body butters. Request samples first to check texture, scent and feel, then choose your pack and add your own branding. Changes to the formula, scent or packaging are quoted separately, based on your brief.
