Private label coconut formulas
Coconut oil is pressed from the kernel of the coconut and used in cosmetic formulas as an emollient that leaves skin and hair feeling soft. Coconut also supplies the mild coconut-derived cleansers in many washes. Our catalogue carries it in massage and body oils, body butters, conditioners, cleansers, a body wash and pet grooming products. Brands can sample these and launch them under their own label from 500 units.

Developing a coconut product
Coconut works across leave-on and rinse-off formats. In body and massage oils it is often the base oil. In body butters it sits alongside shea or cocoa butter to give a richer texture that melts on skin. In washes and shampoos, coconut-derived surfactants such as coco-glucoside and cocamidopropyl betaine provide the lather.
Texture choices
Virgin coconut oil is solid at cool room temperatures and melts on contact with skin, so a product can look different in winter and summer, or in a cold warehouse and a warm shop. Brands that want a clear oil that stays liquid usually choose fractionated coconut oil. Coconut pairs well with lighter oils such as sweet almond or jojoba for faster absorption, and with essential oil blends for scent.
Packaging
Because the oil can set and melt, wide-mouth jars suit butters, while pump or flip-cap bottles suit fractionated oil. Ask for stability checks across the temperatures your product will travel through, especially for export to hot markets.
Claims to check
- "Moisturising" and "softer-feeling skin" are standard cosmetic descriptions; specific hydration claims need test data.
- "Natural" or "pure" wording must match the full ingredient list.
- Pet products need wording suited to animal grooming products in each market, with no health claims.

Questions about coconut products
Why does coconut oil go solid in a product?
Virgin coconut oil sets at cool room temperatures and melts close to skin temperature. That is normal, but it changes how an oil or butter looks on the shelf. If you need a product that stays clear and liquid, fractionated coconut oil is the usual choice. We can advise which suits your format and markets.
Are coconut-based cleansers the same as coconut oil?
No. Coconut-derived surfactants, such as coco-glucoside or cocamidopropyl betaine, are made from coconut fatty acids and create lather in washes and shampoos. Coconut oil itself is an emollient. A product can contain one, the other or both, and your ingredient list and claims should reflect exactly which.
What is the minimum order for a private label coconut product?
Ready formulas in our catalogue start from 500 units per product, including massage oils, body butters, washes and conditioners. Request samples first to check texture, scent and feel, then choose your pack and add your own branding. Changes to the formula, scent or packaging are quoted separately, based on your brief.
