Private label vitamin C formulas

Vitamin C is an antioxidant used in skincare for a radiant, more even-looking complexion. Pure ascorbic acid breaks down quickly in water, so many formulas use more stable derivatives and protective packaging. We carry vitamin C in 14 ready formulas, including serums, creams, face balms, body butters, body lotions, a body wash and a tinted moisturiser. Brands can sample them and launch under their own label from 500 units per product.

Developing a vitamin C product

Vitamin C is a strong seller, but it is also one of the least stable actives in skincare. Choosing the right form and pack matters as much as the formula itself.

Formats that suit it

  • Serums are the most recognised vitamin C format. Browse our private label serums.
  • Creams and face balms suit brands that want a richer, easier daily step. See moisturisers.
  • Body butters, lotions and body wash carry a "vitamin" or citrus story into body care.

Texture and pairing choices

Pure ascorbic acid oxidises readily in water, often turning yellow or brown. Derivatives such as sodium ascorbyl phosphate, ascorbyl glucoside, ethyl ascorbic acid and oil-soluble tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate are more stable and are chosen for that reason. Vitamin C is often paired with vitamin E and ferulic acid, and with hyaluronic acid or niacinamide for hydration and tone stories.

Packaging

Light and air speed up vitamin C breakdown, so airless pumps, opaque bottles and small pack sizes are common. Clear droppers are a weak choice for water-based vitamin C serums. Browse our airless bottles.

Claims to check before launch

"Radiance", "glow" and "helps skin look more even" are typical cosmetic claims, but measurable brightening or results-in-weeks claims need testing on the finished product. Avoid pigmentation-removal or whitening language. Products that combine vitamin C with sunscreen must have their SPF and UVA values substantiated by testing in each destination market. Stability testing is especially important for this ingredient.

Questions about vitamin c products

Which vitamin C products can I private label?

Our catalogue lists 14 ready formulas with vitamin C, including serums, creams, face balms, body butters, body lotions, a body wash, a tinted moisturiser and a sunscreen. Each can be sampled first, then produced under your own brand from 500 units per product.

Why do some vitamin C serums turn brown?

Pure ascorbic acid oxidises when exposed to water, light and air, and the colour change is a visible sign of that. Stable derivatives, airless or opaque packs and smaller pack sizes all help. Stability testing on the finished product shows how it will look over its shelf life.

Which form of vitamin C should my brand use?

It depends on the format and story. Ascorbic acid is the most familiar name but the least stable in water. Derivatives such as sodium ascorbyl phosphate or ascorbyl glucoside suit water-based serums, while tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate suits oils and balms. We can advise when you sample.
